Delightful Magyar!
I remember as a child wanting to pet the pretty black and white kitties on the farm...

I have never come across a haiku about kittens and skunks!!!

I have a great image in my head of an old ladies house with porcelain kittens and an open window... oh yes, and one little unwelcome visitor... its made me laugh...

nice one Magyar!

In my stupid head it is the night which has kittens (for the night in German is a female thing: die Nacht). Whether or not: To me there is more sadness than humour in the verse. Everything goes by ... even the surface of everything.

Best wishes
Ralf
