Sometimes, I need to step back... to see where I wish to go.

warm new rain
beats this trash can lid
a crocus blooms

A nice rain is good for the soul. :) We all need to step back now and again. Love this, _m. ;)

p.s. Thanks so much for the warm spring break wishes. I will enjoy my time off!!! :)

Taking those steps back is wise and something I'm finally learning to do (being the type that rushes into things). I loved the contrast between trash and crocus. The crocus are just peeking their noses out in the garden here.

I can just hear the water drumming.

Here is one on the same subject that has been waiting for a shot of a tin roof.

raindrops bounce
off the old metal roof
timeless rhythm

love the rackety sounds of this haiku softened by the crocus bloom!
