__The first day. Theology and all things then began, and that hidden stone held our history through an uncountable time... to the now. Often, small stones are left at grave sites, a marker of the visit; a stone icon that too, speaks of the first day.

hidden stone
such history it has kept
the first day

Stones can have so much story behind them, a time long lost re-emerging in the present.

I have one. It's a piece of Preseli Bluestone. They were used to build the inner circle at Stonehenge.

In the hills I saw
Aside a path a stone
I thought perhaps left by Merlin.

__Too, I'm drawn to -old farm- stonewalls, found overgrown in the forests... histories told, in so many ways. _m
