This brook flows into our ocean's bay. 
__ During high tide, and due to the loss of that brook's flow, its pools will rise. In winter nights, sheets of ice will top each pool and cling to each stone's girth, as those stones reach above that higher water.  Later, an outgoing tide drains some depth, and the thin ice breaks away to sail toward the sea in the surge of each pool's rush and flow. Halos of ice remain, clinging to the waist of every standing stone. 
__ Again, the tides will rise. _m
