Haiku, Senryu, and an occasional Haibun or Cinquain
Wow, I love it, great haiku, Magyar.K.
Love this imagery,D. Poor hummingbird! Stripey is applauding ;)
If I were you, I would change L3 in order to add mystery/layers to this stunning ku. You give chance to reader to imagine/guess/decide for himself what the shadow was. Thus, you turn him into an active reader and guarantee his satisfaction:a shadow caught by the stalker cat..morning stillnessMay I invite you and all the haiku friends to join the first International Kukai?Details on my blog:http://rita-odeh.blogspot.com
Wonderful Magyar. Love your cat haiku most of all!
I am hoping it wasn't the hummingbird. Thanks for reminding me that I was going to put up the feeder today.
Thanks all... your kind comments!__One can wonder:1, Did the cat catch the shadow or the hummingbird, the kigo of this haiku;2, do I (we) chase shadows, a metaphor for the dreams we have;3, can we all be from time to time, the shadow, the prey? __Smiles all! _m
