__We... had so counted on the old skills and crafts that had built this world, and yet today from so many corners, those arts of providing life... have been re-labeled as lowly functions.
__I ask you my friends to visit -Bicando- that link to the right... and I, back to the sands and the beach... with slight changes.

Sea is the source and perhaps the most effective metaphor of life, i always thought...cinquain as a form has not held my interest, don't know why....but form was not important as much as fuction....a good one, Magyar :)

as regards the content, it reminded me of our Poet Laureate's words:

"Not hammer-strokes, but dance of the water, sings the pebbles into perfection." ~Rabindranath Tagore

Thanks Dev,
_Few people identify with Cinquain,
that I use it, may be the wee bit of 'Howard Roark' I have within me.
_Gillena... sometimes we need to recreate each time we awake... and I thank you... -the tide's recreation-

I like the idea of this. Sometimes, we need a new beginning.

This is so bittersweet, D - our lives are just like grains of sand...

And, yes, the old ways are not honored and celebrated as they should be...which is very sad.

I read this differently: as footsteps that followed ours in the sands of time and while the tide erased them both we still are...

Janice... thank you for your perception; I toyed with the word
-our-... and thought -they-, and perhaps 'twould have been a better and more meaningful line. ;<) _m
