Anybody still use... an old hand-crank pencil sharpener?

Still do
A childhood memory
Wood spiral.
Excellent Magyar - happens to me often - a pain when sketching too and yes still use a manual sharpener though I do have a real good old electric school one too.
I don't have one of those, but I have tons of small sharpeners...I always have pencils handy (and extra erasers because I wear the ones they come with down too quickly).
I really liked this haiku, D. The broken threads of thought and lead...
A nice connection between the broken lead and your lost thought, Magyar...
htat i get and sometimes I break with the pencil, beautiful Doug
Superb haiku - of course it happens to me pretty often:)
I love this one!
my pen
with it's inky leak
wrong flow
the inadvertent pause for contemplation is excellent; much love...
__I do so... thank you all, my friends, your visits and comments mean a lot!
__Here, with all the troubles in our world I needed a post with some levity... to which we could all relate.
__I've listed this as -senryu- it, of a more personal center, and not
an -outside view- of nature, too, there is no kigo. Could be a simple aphorism; this, then, is open to welcome discussion!
__Again... thanks to you all! _m
If I had an electric, I wouldn't have any pencils ~ always lost

I'm using all kind of pencils, too! My favorites are old "Copier" - pencils, not more for sale because of some kind poison? Anillin? I'm not 'eating' those, as seen in old movies...
But these copier-pencils are so easy for handwriting, they are smooth.
