__Yesterday our granddaughter Maya, now in her ninth year, secretly left this note for me to find. With pride, I post it for her; her school teacher had explained haiku to her class. The found note:
"Pa-Pa this is for you"
very nice to have
smells like spring time all the time
like a bird singing

__Yesterday I, as we talked about his writing, I asked grandson Christian if he knew, haiku. From across the room came... "I DO, I DO!"
__Maya then explained the 5-7-5 structure, the season and nature, aspects... then later, came the surprise above. Wow!
