A quick visit home.
__Last night night, ten past eight, rain, the hummingbirds were still working the nectar feeders.
__Always a delight and never a surprise, when Kathy often cites a word or phrase... that so fits the scene we are watching. I said, "they need umbrellas," Kathy responded with an intended blank look of comedy on her face, "I think they need..." The last line here, Kathy's invented word.

I love that!
humbrellas!
Tell Kathy I am impressed!
ps- ours are feeding in the rain, too.
Love that invented word...cute! I could see their fast-fluttering wings just hovering.
What a clever haiku!! We haven't had rain in over 77 days! Hopefully the monsoons will arrive soon!!
hummm or hmmm...so, Kathy's an inventor of words,
but i was thinking of how a haiku takes birth...but then i see you don't categorise it as a haiku...whatsoever, "humbrellas!" sounded like saying "umbrella" while sneezing: aatchoo..ha..hummbrella!
