Nice one. Years ago, when I could take rambles through nature preserves, we would see these if we were lucky.

I see one or two occasionally on a path I walk. A shady lakeside way.
under the old pines
light plays in the soft needles
a chickadee sings
oh i like this. I need to google lady slippers not sure what they look like. I love the forest, especially since I live in one now for seven years and learning all about the seasons, the smells, the breezes, the lakes...heaven on earth.
